Timber Donkey

A friend joked that my hobby is 90% building storage for my hobby, and she's not wrong. But we all need somewhere to put our wood, and for some reason I can't get over not wanting to drill holes in the walls to mount racks.
A while ago, mujinmakes made what he called the Lumber Mule to deal with his own problems. You should watch the video; it's great (like all his stuff!) I opted to make a slightly smaller version of it, a foot less deep, shorter in length and height.
I think it came out ok. Hopefully it doesn't tip over and kill me.

Milling up 2x4s is one of my least favorite activities, but as least there were a lot of them.
I neglected to use my Domino when joining the post components together, and it led to a lot of slop and misalignment during glue up. Adding tenons would have made the whole thing much easier, and I need to remember to reach for that.

For the bottom post mounts, I was lazy and used a through cut on the shoulder, and then a stopped cut to get most of the way through the cheek. The stupidly large tenon saw made short work of the rest of it, though it only barely fit in my Moxon vise.

Cutting 3.25" notches with a 1.2mm saw blade is about as fun as it sounds, but again - too lazy to go with the coping saw and dealing with cleanup.

So here's one of those alignment issues I mentioned. The top notch should be 1.25", but I messed up one of them by 1/4", which meant the top rail didn't fit flush. Some Big Chopping got it done.

I didn't have enough 1/2" plywood to finish the top rack, so I cut down the Terrible Toolbox to recover some. Goodbye, Terrible Toolbox, I worked really hard on you and you were just awful.

There were definitely some spacing issues, and I had to fine tune some of the arms (with passes through the planer) to get them to fit. I need to add a rail so the plywood doesn't slide out, at some point. But - the arms and posts are level and I'm not sure I can ask much more than that.
